RECENT SHOWS

In 2024, I had my show "Hiding in the Lime Tree." A collection of my most beloved work from over the past 25 years. It is an evolution from my life as a young, depressed woman that was lost to a saved, healthy and happy person I am today. Sharing my gifts and my joy with others!

EDUCATION

I graduated with a BFA degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts (affiliated with Rutgers University) in 2004, majoring in painting. I spent many years refining my skills as a painter, while a student, working with many well-known, NYC-based artist/professors. Color theory, design, drawing, book-making, paper making are all things I absolutely loved and immersed myself in. Prior to this time, I paid my way to purchase art and painting lessons with artist Tom Vincent in high school and was trained in the 'old master' style oil painting. This technique involved building up paint slowly to create very lifelike and photo realistic portraits.

WORK

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

I have spent the last 25+ years working in one way or another in the arts field. In college I was commissioned to do murals in several local schools and was hired by a local Home Depot to create several murals for their store. I also worked as a design consultant helping clients select paint colors, flooring, cabinets, etc for their home. After graduating I ran a business making murals & faux painting homes and businesses in northern NJ.

After moving to Maryland and having young children, I worked from home creating paintings for children's rooms and nurseries and selling prints on Etsy.

Eventually our family moved to Calvert County Maryland, where we have been for over 12 years. Here I spent time teaching children and teens fine arts, worked for local businesses making murals, designing fun spaces and doing design consultations. Took a break from hands on art to work at a church doing communications and some graphic design work.

Most recently I have gotten back into creating personal work and getting back to my passion of making murals. I frequent festivals and shows making quick and fun portraits of people. In 2023 I was awarded "Demonstrator Award" at the highly popular Southern Maryland "Artsfest" at Anne Marie Gardens. Art brings me so much joy, especially helping others make an amazing space or create a painting that means so much to them- it is priceless!

Currently some of my paintings can be seen at the calvART Gallery in Prince Fredrick, Maryland. Stop by and take a look!
